Original question:

There are currently no parties that could come together under an Icannatlarge umbrella.

Would you be interested in helping to set up a Party that will represent Internet Users, in particular Individuals that own Domain Names?

Personally, in order to avoid paralyzing disputes, I would prefer to see two parties, one dedicated to representing all Internet Users and one focused on the Domain Name Rights of Individuals.

The two parties would be strongly allied and take common positions wherever possible.

Would you help to set up a Party?

Total number of voters: 75

Vote Number of Votes Percentage
I would be keen to be one of the Founders of any icannatlarge Party 24 32.00 %
I would be part of a Domain Name Rights Party 29 38.67 %
I would be part of an Internet Users Party 34 45.33 %
I would join both, but be active in one. 25 33.33 %
I would like to set up my own Party 3 4.00 %

Comments:
  • Large companies often abuse rights of smaller people that have a ligitimate right to own a said domain name and have unjustly taken them from the little people. I have seen it happen to my customers.
  • N/M
  • Defininately TWO Parties
  • it´s necessary to interchange experiences
  • For organizational purposes I have to reluctantly support the idea of a "party". But it must always be ready to accept being instructed by referendums.
  • This proposal has a problem: One group (the Domain owners) is a subset ofg the other (the internet users). THerfore I would join both.
  • SIGs join/vote in many - only 1 vote in general elections
